Second, the project brief

The building is located on the west side of Huacheng Square, the central axis of the new city of Zhujiang New Town in Guangzhou. It is the tallest building in Guangzhou and one of the most iconic buildings in Guangzhou. The building has a total construction area of more than 45 square meters and is mainly composed of a main tower, a suite office building, a podium building and a basement. The main tower has 103 floors and a building height of 432 meters. The upper part of the main tower is a super five-star hotel (four seasons hotel); the lower part (below 66 floors) is a Grade A office building; the podium is 5 stories high, 25 meters high and covers an area of 40,000 square meters. The main use is commercial, catering and more. Function room, etc.; the suite office building is located on the 6~28 floor above the podium, with a height of 99.4 meters; the basement has 4 floors, of which the basement and partial mezzanine are commercial and equipment rooms, and the underground 2~4 floors are parking garages.

The main tower office building ranges from 1 to 66 floors in the lower part of the main tower, with a construction area of 180,000 square meters. The 1~3 floors are the lobby and elevator hall; the equipment and refuge floor occupy 7 floors, and the office floor has 56 floors. The structure is an inner cylinder outer frame type, the plane is an arc angle triangle type, the outer steel pipe columns are obliquely intersected, and the vertical surface is a diamond-shaped column net, which is quite characteristic. The office building is equipped with multi-component section elevators and two sets of double-deck shuttle elevators to solve vertical traffic. As a super high-rise building, the electromechanical equipment system is huge, the pipeline is complicated, and the design is advanced in technology, reliable and practical, energy-saving and environmentally friendly, and easy to manage. It applies a large number of advanced technologies and reflects a certain sense of advance. The building is equipped with high safety, high reliability, high comfort and high intelligent use conditions.

The project's architectural plan was designed by Wilkinson Eyre. Architects, and Hong Kong Arup was the former engineering consultant. The Architectural Design and Research Institute of South China University of Technology is responsible for the electromechanical design of the entire construction drawing design and decoration stage. The design began in 2006, on the occasion of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, the majestic and towering West Tower has stood on the banks of the Pearl River, and the interior decoration has been completed. The building is symmetrical with the East Tower on the east side of the central axis that will be built in the future. The Guangzhou TV Tower, which has been completed in the east and west towers and the south bank of the Pearl River, is a three-pronged trend, and will surely become a symbol of Guangzhou's new city construction and a tourist hotspot.
